I am happy to welcome you again on February 1 to my solo exhibition at Der Divan, Qatar's cultural house in Berlin, which was postposed before. In this show, we wanted to share a state of transcendence and the joy that comes with it after many years of going through a journey of self-interrogation and introspection, leading to my self-liberation in 2013. If you are wondering what I am talking about, this might be an excellent chance to check my memoir, The Parachute Paradox | Decolonizing the Imagination.

The exhibition is curated by Karin Adrian von Roques, with whom I worked before on View from Inside: Contemporary Arab Photography at the FotoFest Biennial in Houston in 2014. I also worked with Karin for my retrospective in Verona Archaeology of the Future at the Scavi Scaligeri Museum, showing eight of my projects back then. Download a free catalogue here.

Refreshments and tasty bites will follow a short artist talk with the curator. Arrive on time if you wish to attend the talk.
