An artistic reset.

This day isn’t about showing work. It’s a small, camera-on circle where we speak honestly about how artists actually work: how you decide, persist, and grow. You’ll walk out with clearer purpose, renewed energy, and simple prompts you can live with in the studio and beyond.

When your vision widens, your path gets simpler.

Clarify your purpose — name what truly drives your practice.

Sharpen your focus — cut noise, keep a working rhythm.

Strengthen your nerve — move through hesitation and comparison.

Give language to your path — words you can actually use.

Act with integrity — share and navigate without losing yourself.

Find momentum — leave with a light, doable way to keep moving.

Learn to navigate the art world without losing your voice or soul.

The Artist's Cure Book

Who it’s for

If you’re early in your journey—student, recent grad, or self-taught—and want direction that translates into action, this masterclass is designed to give you clarity, confidence, and steady motion.

It's time for a real, felt change!

The Artist's CURE

The well this masterclass draws from: a field guide of 365 epigrams distilled from three decades in the studio and the art world. It names real frictions and turns them into clear actions. It’s a book artists keep within reach—for a steadier nerve, a truer compass, and permission to keep making. The Artist’s CURE is a survival guide and manifesto for the long journey.

“There is nothing like it that has been published yet.”

Learn about the book & read reviews

Vision begins before the work exists.

Catch ideas before they float away!

Courage is the oxygen of the artist.

Pick a number. Let's begin!

Methodology — The Artist’s CURE

Throughout the day — at natural pauses — a different participant draws a number at random (1–365). The page is projected on screen so everyone can follow as it’s read aloud. Then there’s a moment to connect that line to your practice. The draw keeps rotating so each voice reads many times. It’s playful, focused, and keeps the circle moving.

A focused, fun day, start to finish!

FAQ

Emerging artists and students in any creative field—early in their path and ready for clarity, confidence, and momentum.

No. This is a conversation-based practice lab. You’ll pick a number to open a theme; we talk about process and practice—not live portfolio reviews. We may discuss portfolios as a concept (what helps, what hurts), but we won’t review yours here. If you want that, we can schedule a separate 1:1 portfolio session.

Yes. Small, camera-on circle. First-name basis. What’s shared in the room stays in the room.

Thank you Steve! It was amazing!

Barenboim-Said Akademie Student

We were particularly impressed by his ability to articulate aspects of creation that are often intuitive or emotional, all while maintaining a humble and accessible presence. This combination of thoughtful analysis and human warmth greatly enriched the discussion and was met with enthusiastic feedback from participants.
